Description: This talk/workshop will highlight the inspired teachings of Jesus Christ, as revealed anew to Paramhansa Yogananda in the 20th century, and as presented by Swami Kriyananda, a direct disciple of Yogananda.  The truth of Jesus Christ is neither what is found in modern attacks by authors such as Dan Brown not in popular Christian doctrine. The truth of Christ and his teachings is deeply inspiring and yogic. Join us for this very unique, enlightening evening.

Pranaba Hansen is long-time yoga and meditation teacher, currently residing at the renowned Ananda Village cooperative community in northern California. He has helped to create and direct Ananda cooperative communities in Palo Alto, CA, Seattle, Dallas, and Assisi, Italy. He has been a disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda for over 30 years. He is now the Director of Living Discipleship for the Ananda Church`s membership training program and also the coordinator for Ananda`s worldwide network of meditation groups. For years, he has also been a featured speaker at Ananda Village`s well-known "Spiritual Renewal Week" events.  An excellent teacher, he is known for his unfailing kindness and gentle approach.

Sunday Service

Beaumont Rd., Columbus, OH 43214.  Service begins at 11:00 a.m. (This is near High St. and Cooke Rd. in the Clintonville neighborhood.). The service will usually include a talk and inspiring live music on the guitar and harmonium. (This will be a monthly event, with services on the 1st Sunday of every month.) Meditation Group

[special note: Beginning 6/4/08),the meditation will be at a new location in Upper Arlington.] Join us most Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. for simple yoga exercises, harmonium chanting, and a 30 minute meditation.

New Book Release

 Short review: This book was partly written as a response to the "fictionalization of Christianity" presented in the world-famous novel "The Da Vinci Code."  Kriyananda makes the case that the complete truth of Christ is neither based in fundamentalist Christian dogma nor in contrived intellectual attacks by modern scientists and writers such as Dan Brown. The truth of Christianity as given by Paramhansa Yogananda? One should perceive and believe in the consciousness of Jesus Christ, which lives within every soul.
